Mount Evans

More interested in driving to the summit of a fourteener rather than climbing one? This is the trip for you!
Exit Interstate 70 at the Mt. Evans exit (252) and follow the signs and route 103 to the 14,260 foot summit.

If you don't like hairpin turns, dizzying heights and a lack of guardrails this may not be the venture for you! As you drive your way up the mountain, keep a look out at the fantastic scenery and for numerous wildlife that make their home in this area... just be sure to keep your eyes on the road as well!

Do not forget to take your camera on this expedition!

Incredible views abound from the summit. Can you find Long's Peak? How about Pike's Peak? Wildlife, unperturbed by the traffic, provide numerous opportunities for great photographs!

Right: The wildlife at Mount Evans offer spectacular close sightings and fantastic opportunities for photographs!
